The idea for P-Secure originated in 2022, when we were asked to assist Danish research institutions and companies in complicated cases of possible espionage. One of the tasks was to screen researchers, suppliers and delegation visits. The amounts of data were enormous and a manual analysis would be neither possible nor defensible. A partially automated screening software was needed which could support the analysis task. The problem was that individual units would either have to build capacity themselves locally or rely on consultants in all future. That task we set out to solve.
We managed to bring together a team of former colleagues with extensive experience in the intelligence field, and together we began the development of an MVP (Minimum Viable Product), which we quickly put into operation with a limited number of customers. We received a lot of great input that we continuously incorporated into the software.
We found that few companies or research institutions have the necessary skills to translate the authorities' recommendations into practical measures. That is why we started the development of a real case management system that can be used at all levels of a company and which is continuously further developed on the basis of experience from different sectors, so that knowledge is anchored in software and not in individuals. This should ensure a uniform and objective processing of data as well as a guarantee of compliance with applicable legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation.
To be on the safe side, we chose to follow management practices from the public sector we knew, with all the requirements for deletion deadlines, logging requirements, etc. We decided to use only our own developers and that everything should be hosted in Denmark to avoid legal entanglements about possible data transfer to e.g. THE UNITED STATES.
In 2024, we introduced P-Secure to airports, and the solution is now in operation at several Danish and Greenlandic airports as well as at a large number of their suppliers.
Today, P-Secure is in operation in many different sectors, including research, energy, transportation, finance, telecommunications, and the defense industry. The solution is constantly being further developed and new features are constantly being added. In 2025 we will launch P-Secure in Scandinavia and by 2026 in the rest of Europe.
P-Secure was developed as a solution to assist Danish research institutions and companies in cases of possible espionage. The need for a partially automated screening software was identified. P-Secure was part of VENZO A/S.
The prototype was tested at research institutions, airports and members of the security industry. P-Secure is established as an independent company.
P-Secure was introduced and is now in operation at Danish and Greenlandic airports. The solution is also in operation within energy sector, research institutions, transport sector, telecommunication sector, financial sector, the health sector and suppliers of defence, security and preparedness. The Airport Solution can handle nationals from all over the world. Sweden and Norway are fully automated on a par with Denmark.
Through existing customers P-Secure is introduced to the Swedish and Norwegian markets, adapted to national legislation. Preparations to introduce P-Secure to the German market. Launch of a new version of P-Secure with additional automations and integration options.
Planned introduction of P-Secure in the rest of Europe.Continued development and addition of new features based on experiences from different sectors.
