DHL has conducted background checks on a large part of their employees using the P-Secure platform in record time, demonstrating that complying with applicable law does not have to be a daunting task.
On Friday, October 12, we visited DHL, one of P-Secure's customers in the transportation sector, to evaluate their use of P-Secure for automated background checks and discuss developments in the Critical Entities Resilience Act.
We also gave our recommendations on how DHL can navigate until the Ministry of Community Safety and Emergency Management approves the new law and updated guidance.
In a short period of time, DHL has conducted background checks on a large part of their employees using the P-Secure platform, demonstrating that complying with applicable law does not have to be a daunting task.
Trafikstyrelsen has approved DHL as a regulated agent, which means that they can handle shipments that require a high level of security. With their extensive organization in both land transport and own aircraft, DHL is an important player in Danish and European infrastructure. Therefore, it is natural for DHL to be best in class.
Our assessment is that the air transport industry is already heavily regulated and therefore will not feel significant strictures regarding background checks. There may be more formalized requirements for the emergency part, but responsible companies such as DHL already have a good handle on this area.
